Oh Yea…And We’re Still Not Done, Yet
I literally just got back from an all night editing spree. I really feel like quoting some Pulp Fiction here:
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides with the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of charity and good will shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon those with great vengeance and with furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know that my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
Long story short, the “editor” wasn’t editing. She was directing. She’s not a director. She’s an editor. She edits. Adrian Quarto was finally able to get her to go around 11:30 and then I took over and working straight through until about 5:30ish in the morning when I just crashed. Rob Mich’eal Picard, the director (who is very good and I would highly recommend working with him any chance you get), tried to coax her to just leave, but she wouldn’t. Kevin Briggs and Rebecca Micciche were fortunately able to take over and did a wonderful job of putting on the finishing touches. They had to awaken me a few times to get some help, although I’m really not quite sure how coherent or helpful I actually was. We were finally able to get the final cut finished around 8 this morning. Rob stopped by and then we exported it to MiniDV so Adrian and Todd Nelson could get the sound and Foley effects added. I’m going into work now. Yea…call me crazy.
