Some Rights Reserved

Everything on AndrewFerguson.NET, except those items listed below or specifically noted otherwise, is licensed by Andrew Ferguson under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 United States License. This means you may take texts, photos, bits of code, etc. covered by the license and do with them as you wish as long as you do not use this work for commercial purposes, you do provide credit, and you do release the new work under the same license (if you alter, transform, or build upon the work). I’m doing this because when something appears on my site, I’ve often done as much as I can with it and I’d like to see what others might do with it.

As noted above, some exceptions:

  • All comments posted to AndrewFerguson.NET from people other than myself are copyrighted by the original authors.
  • I occasionally excerpt passages from copyrighted articles or books in order to comment on or criticize them. In most cases, I’ve used the principle of fair use to determine what to excerpt, so if you’re interested in quoting works I’ve excerpted, you may want to go back to the original sources to make sure you’re alright regarding fair use.
  • Anything else I don’t have the right to give you permission to use.

With the above, keep in mind the principle of fair use when you’re deciding if you can use something, regardless of copyright, CC license, etc.

If you are interested in using my work under a different license (for example, if you want to use it for commercial purposes), please contact me. My information is on the upper right corner of this blog.
