The times they are a-changin’.

This post seems to be older than 14 years—a long time on the internet. It might be outdated.

This is a special post I asked Brian to write:

So i have known for awhile that i got into CU Boulder but it has only been recently that i have decided to go. I am for sure 100% that that is the school i want to go to when i go to college. However i am not 100% sure that i am going to go next year. There are still a few possibilities running around in my brain. I have though about maybe doing City year for a year in seattle or in Colorado. Just working full time for a year or maybe taking a position at the church as a full time sponsor. All of these possibilites seem interesting to me. I just don’t feel like i am completely sold on going to college quite yet. I would hate for my parents to have to pay tens of thousands of dollars just to find out im not ready yet. So im not totally sure what i am going to do but when i do go to college i deffenetly know where i am going.

  1. As a former CU dropout, my advice would be to see if you feel comfortable there. It is a HUGE school, and one that is easy to be overwhelmed by. If you feel like going to City for a few years, you will be a) saving a lot of money and b) taking the time to figure out what you really want to do with your life.
    Good luck!
