I Want to Take Photos Like This

The times they are a-changin’.

This post seems to be older than 14 years—a long time on the internet. It might be outdated.

I’m not much of a history buff. There is one exception to this: The Cold War. For whatever reason, I love everything about the Cold War. Granted, I didn’t really have live in it (although I was born during the tail end) and thus I don’t understand the fear of living in a world where you might wake up the next day to a nuclear holocaust. I still find it fascinating.

I like looking at pictures taken that show the abandoned cites and towns. It’s almost like a time machine. The city frozen in a perpetual state of emptiness. Nothing changing, just aging. Sleeping giants.

I want to take a trip to Russia and spend time absorbing this and recording this. I want to take photos like this.

    1. @Johnny D: Thanks for asking. Unfortunately, that picture is not mine, so I can’t give you permission. However, you still may be able to use that picture under Fair Use Laws (In Canada, you call it Fair Dealings), you’ll have to ask your teacher though. I hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks and I hope you have a nice day too! – Andrew F
