Random Things Found at Value Village

The times they are a-changin’.

This post seems to be older than 16 years—a long time on the internet. It might be outdated.

While I was in Seattle, I had a few minutes to free before I had to meet a friend. I wondered over to the Value Village to see what obsolete computers vintage computers I could find. I didn’t find any computers. I did find plenty of software/software books from the late 90’s. Here are some interesting things I did find:

US Space Shuttle. No specific name. Moves forwards and backwards and shoots lasers.
Lasers?! I think someone watched Moonraker a bit too many times.

Two words: 8 Track. Two more words: Holy crap.
I’m pretty sure they stopped making these before I was born.

Now this is an interesting little thing. It took a few minutes to figure out what it is. To the best of my knowledge, it’s a device you can use to pick a baby’s name. It also includes a handy countdown timer for the day of birth.
Aallotar: Finish for “Lady of the waves”…okay then.
