5/24/2006 Update: This is going to require more work than I have time to put in right now. And seeing as there are no Redbox’s in Seattle, there isn’t a personal incentive until I return back to Colorado. I guess what I’m trying to say is that Redbox is on hold until A) I have some free time; or B) I go back to Colorado.
Yes, yes. The “(insert name here)-r” naming scheme is WAAAY over used. But it sounds like Red Boxer, which is kind of cool so I’m going with it.
In any event, Redboxr is almost ready to be release into the wild. I’m hoping for a Monday release, but we’ll see how it goes.
What is Redboxr? It’s an email service that you send an email to with your current region and it will send you back codes which you can use to get free Redbox DVD’s. It’s designed to be used with your cellphone, but any device that can send and receive emails will work.
But like I said, not until Monday at the very earliest.
In the meantime, I’m conducting a private beta. How do you get it? Simple, leave a comment with saying that you want in and I’ll email you the details.
