I often reference Facebook as StalkerNet because of a users ability to rather easily stalk just about anyone. I finally decided to delve into Greasemonkey, a Firefox extension that provides a ‘software implementation of a concept called ‘Active Browsing'”. In short, a user can make persistent user side changes to a web site.
My script, Facebook stalkrNET, removes any reference of the word “Facebook” and replaces it with “stalkrNET” (yes, without the e; yes, just like Flickr; yes, I know everyone uses it; yes, I am making fun of that fact). It also removes all those annoying ads.
