More on Project 42

The times they are a-changin’.

This post seems to be older than 14 years—a long time on the internet. It might be outdated.

I’ve had some questions about what Project 42 is. While I can’t tell you what it is outright, I will try to shed some more light on what it is and what it is not.

Project 42:

  • is not an illegal activity
  • is about being free
  • is not a clandestine plan to steal your money
  • is a journey
  • is not about competition
  • is about the adventure
  • will not start before end of the 2005-2006 regular school year
  • is an experiments of sorts

Some of the Rules/Requirements:

  1. Everything you take MUST fit in ONE (1) bag that you will take with you where ever you go. It must be 45 linear inches or less.
  2. You must have a valid passport
  3. You must be physically fit and in shape
  4. Goals may be set, but no itinerary can be made
  5. You may not tell anyone where you are or what you are doing
  6. Because of the previous rule, a dead man’s trigger will be utilized

Project 42: Pack light. Pack versatilely. Pack tightly.

  1. I’m pretty sure I’m out. I’m not going to be able to not tell people where I am or what I’m doing. At least until after the end of the 2007-2008 school year.
