God Bless Skype and Audacity: The Nigerian Scammer Scammed – Part “Something-or-Other”

The times they are a-changin’.

This post seems to be older than 19 years—a long time on the internet. It might be outdated.

Just got off the phone with my good friend Dr. James Francis. Everything is well and he seems eager to send me my millions. I gave him the bogus MTC# from the bogus Western Union form I made. When filling out the form, I realized I missed a few things. Hopefully Dr. Franics isn’t to keen on his fake document detection skills.

Thanks to a comment on MakeYouGoHmm, I was able to setup Audacity to record the entire conversation. Which you can listen to here. The connection fades in and out and I would suspect that it’s a fault of the network connection or maybe Dr. Francis is using a cell phone.

If you don’t care to listen to the audio, here’s the run down: I was sick, now I’m beter. I’ve done what you asked. My Money Transfer Control Number is 3752969653. I’ll have an email tomorrow by 2pm? Excellent. Talk with you later. Thank you too, my brother.

I’ll check my email at 2pm tomorrow, or really today I guess.

I suspect that there will be an issue with the Western Union transfer. In which case I will show him my receipt. This will be the fun part because it will pit my skills against his desire to get my money.

Stay tuned…the fun is just about to begin!
