This post seems to be older than 18 years—a long time on the internet. It might be outdated.
After being around for a few months, I thought I might go ahead and try Google’s new Desktop Search. The install process was pretty painless and right now it’s indexing all my crap. It says it might take a few hours. From what I can tell, this should be very promssing!
