One Response to Why I Hate Politics in General: Reason #382

  1. Jeff says:

Why do I hate politics in general? Reason number 107 is the premise on which that graph is based: that there is one dimension of political belief (liberal or conservative). That understanding is incredibly wrongheaded. Where would you put Ron Paul on that graph? There needs to be at least an axis for economic policy and an axis for social policy (this two dimensional graph works much better than that stupid line), but I also think there needs to be a separate line for foreign policy. Plug those variables in, and I think the graph will look so different as to make the one you’ve presented here irrelevant.
