I remember not thinking that it was that big of a deal, sad though. It took me a while to realize, mostly after watching all the reports on the huge shrines that went up with hundreds upon hundreds of flowers, that Diana was really important. I guess it stems from the fact that we have no royalty in this country and I never understood how important and dear they are to their people.
