I just attended my last blogger meetup that I’ll be at for a while, at least in Seattle. Anita Rowland encouraged me to start one in Golden. I’ll have to see how much time I have, but that would definitely be a possibility.
Phillip Torrone brought the third issue of Make Magazine. I commented that it is probably the best zine I’ve seen since Wired. Phillip said he gets a lot of those comments, particularly since the Editor-in-Chief of Make used to be the EiC of Wired. I also commented that I was planning on getting it soon. Phillip offered to hook me up with a free subscription. That was very nice of him and I almost accepted. However I believe highly in rewarding good work and Make is a freaking awesome magazine and I am more than willing to pay for it, even if I am a poor, starving college student.
I’m going to miss this group. See you all in December!
