Got back from sailing just now. Peter’s dad, Paul, took us out. It was pretty awesome.

Ex-FBI official Mark Felt was “Deep Throat,” Post confirms

31 May 2005
in the early evening

From The Seattle Times::

SANTA ROSA, Calif. — The Washington Post said today that a former FBI official, W. Mark Felt, was the confidential source known as “Deep Throat” who provided the newspaper information that led to President Nixon’s impeachment investigation and eventual resignation.

VERY interesting. It will be interesting to see if this passes the tests of blogging.

Skype has 3rd Party Video. Lucky.

31 May 2005
just before lunchtime

From Slashdot:

Kozmik writes “Looks like the first of likely many video plugins for Skype has arrived. Dialcom claims the plugin which works with Skype, will provided end to end encrypted video that will work behind NATs, proxies and firewalls. Currently only supports Windows.

I’ve downloaded the program and installed it. My webcam is setup and working. Now all I need is for someone to Skype me.

Blogging APIs via XML-RPC; Part 2

Bloggin APIs via XML-RPC; Part 1

31 May 2005
terribly early in the morning

I’m testing out some APIs (application program interface) that use XML-RPC (eXtensive Markup Language - Remote Procedure Call, trust me…it’s awesome) to post blogs via a program on my computer rather than having to use a web form. I’m currently testing w.bloggar. Seems to work pretty well.

I Accept

30 May 2005
at around evening time

I would like to officially accept the Internship at Nordstrom you offered to me on Friday. I am looking forward to being a part of the great Nordstrom community and I am ready and available as soon as the position starts (Monday, June 6th is what I have heard as the rumored starting date). I am not sure what pre-internship forms/applications I need to fill out, but I can stop by and complete those at your earliest convince. Again, thank you for extending this offer to me. I look forward to working with you soon!

The Village

30 May 2005
in the late afternoon

Wow. Just finished watching The Village. What an incredible movie. If you have not seen it, you must go see it now. Almost makes me want to watch it again…right now!

Brunch with the Boys

29 May 2005
mid-afternoon

Brunch with the BS was awesome. Andy brought his wife, Julia, because he thought that Andrew Boyd was going to bring his girlfriend, Rose. Unfortunately, Rose had to work this morning, so she couldn’t come. Despite that minor set back, it was still great to see Darren, Andy, Julia, and Boyd; whom none I had seen since getting back until now. We’re off to Peter’s houseboat now for the 5th consecutive day of boating.

Getting a New TV

28 May 2005
at around evening time

Our old TV crapped out the other day. Kind of sucky really. We now only have one TV in the house. ACK!

In any event, Dad, Brian, and myself looked at TV’s over at Costco and BestBuy. Nothing doin’. I’ve given Dad a couple leads on some stuff on Craigslist. Really a great site. Definitely work checking out if you have the chance.

Early to Bed, Early to Rise

28 May 2005
around lunchtime

I got up extra early this morning (8:30 am) so I could go over and help Duane out. Comcast managed to screw his device drivers up pretty bad. I did what I could and when I left, his Internet was working. No saying what happened to it after I left. I also was able to get him to use Firefox. So chalk up another convert for Ferg.
